Iddy's top 100 - the worst/most disappointing albums.

2011 has been pretty consistent, but there are some albums that failed to click. Here's the list of 10 I found most disappointing, or in some cases, just downright awful.

1. Jessie J - Who You Are

I'm always willing to give new pop starlets a chance, and after I saw her on Jools earlier in the year, I thought she was pretty good. No dramatics - just good ol' acoustics and voice. And she has a good one.
But the album is an overlong mess of a few decent songs, and a majority of throwaway Pop. Nobody's Perfect stands out for having that annoying acrobatic vocals, or as I call it - gurgled vomit.
She's good a good future ahead of her, but...yeah, not to my liking, sorry.

2. The Vaccines - What Do You Expect From The Vaccines?

The future of British guitar music? If this is the future, then I might as well give up now.

3. Coldplay - Mylo Xyloto

Viva La Vida was a hit for me personally, so I was quietly optimistic about this album...until I heard Every Tear... and Paradise. The rest of the album doesn't do it for me either, and it's a real shame because I enjoyed their set at Glastonbury. The production was also incredibly thin and disappointing - a forgetful album.

4. Justice - Audio, Video, Disco

This isn't awful but it is a bitterly disappointing album. Most of it sounds like what Muse would do if they went all electronica and did stadium electro rock. Civilisation is still a great song
though.

5. Emika - Emika

Another slightly disappointing one. After Double Edge was one of my favourite tracks from last year, the album sounds like it mumbles itself through without having Double Edge's nastiness. But hey, some love it, but unfortunately it doesn't do it for me. Not bad, but not something I'd stick on all the time.

6. IAMX - Volatile Times

Not bad by any means again, but by far the most disappointing IAMX album in my eyes. I'm either getting bored of his music (I really hope not), or it just didn't click. There's hardly any songs I'd call memorable.

7. Florence + The Machine - Ceremonials

I should point out that I DO NOT FIND THIS ALBUM BAD, before I get angry em
ails from Florence fans. In fact, the first half is great, but the second half for me trails off a little. Still, I'm a fan of What The Water Gave Me, and I think she's a good artist for British Pop, so keep going Welchy.

8. Zomby - Dedication

Nah, sorry. It just doesn't do it for me as it does for other people. An enjoyable listen but it feels unfinished (even if all the songs are very short, which I don't mind), but it feels like an album of sketches, rather than full bodied short songs.

9. Zola Jesus - Conatus

I'm a huge fan of this woman and I saw her live a few weeks ago, but the album didn't live up to my hype. It's still a good listen, but it could have been so much better.

10. Bruno Pronsato - Lovers Do

This is actually one of my favourite albums of the year, but it has nothing on his previous masterpiece:
